R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor vital to all Texans, |
|
|
and those individuals who devote themselves to the academic |
|
|
development of our young people are helping to ensure that the |
|
|
future of the Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Teaching requires character, commitment, and |
|
|
passion, and Maria Eva H. Riojas of the Roma Independent School |
|
|
District has demonstrated those qualities in abundance throughout |
|
|
her 36-year career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of our |
|
|
future leaders is an undertaking of paramount importance, and |
|
|
Ms. Riojas embodies the spirit of service and dedication that are |
|
|
the hallmarks of a good teacher; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the |
|
|
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and |
|
|
Ms. Riojas has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love of |
|
|
learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Maria Eva H. Riojas for her invaluable |
|
|
contributions to the students of the Roma Independent School |
|
|
District and extend to her best wishes for continued success with |
|
|
her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Riojas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
