R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jeb Noel Bates celebrated a significant milestone in |
|
|
his life on May 22, 2009, when he graduated from Chaparral High |
|
|
School in Parker, Colorado; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An intelligent and hardworking student, Mr. Bates |
|
|
was born in 1990 in Germany, where his father, Major Lane Bates, was |
|
|
serving in the military; a member of the soccer team at his high |
|
|
school, Jeb Bates was voted most valuable player for his |
|
|
performance as goalie during his senior year, and he was also |
|
|
elected prom king; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young man is a source of pride for |
|
|
the members of his family, and he plans to attend Augsburg College |
|
|
in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the fall of 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jeb Bates has distinguished himself as an individual |
|
|
of great ability and determination, and it is a pleasure to |
|
|
recognize him as he prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in |
|
|
his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jeb Noel Bates on his graduation |
|
|
from Chaparral High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Bates as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
