R E S O L U T I O N
 
         BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of
  Texas, 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, That House Rule 13,
  Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13,
  Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
  resolve the differences on House Bill 2275, relating to creating a
  task force to develop uniform standards for subdivisions in the
  unincorporated areas of counties near the international border and
  in economically distressed counties, to consider and take action on
  the following matters:
         (1)  House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(2), is suspended to permit
  the committee to omit text not in disagreement in proposed Section
  2(a) of the bill to read as follows:
         (a)  The Task Force on Uniform County Subdivision Regulation
  is composed of 23 members as follows:
         Explanation: The omission of text is necessary because not
  all members of the task force will be appointed.
         (2)  House Rule 13, Sections 9(a)(1), (2), and (3), are
  suspended to permit the committee to change and omit text not in
  disagreement and to add text in proposed Section 2(a)(6) of the bill
  to read as follows:
               (6)  the secretary of state or a designee of the
  secretary of state who has expertise in matters affecting colonias;
         Explanation: The alteration of text is necessary to allow
  the secretary of state or a designee of the secretary of state to be
  a member of the task force.
         (3)  House Rule 13, Sections 9(a)(1) and (2), are suspended
  to permit the committee to change and omit text not in disagreement
  in proposed Section 2(b) of the bill to read as follows:
         (b)  The members of the Task Force on Uniform County
  Subdivision Regulation shall elect a presiding officer, a
  secretary, and any other officers the members consider necessary.
         Explanation: The omission of text is necessary because not
  all members of the task force will be appointed. The change of the
  terms "board considers" to "members consider" is necessary to
  correct an error.
