R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Franchesca Cain, the principal of Meadowbrook |
|
|
Elementary School in Fort Worth, has been selected to participate |
|
|
in the 2009 Raise Your Hand Texas Leadership Program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Raise Your Hand Texas is a nonprofit, bipartisan |
|
|
advocacy organization made up of business and community leaders, |
|
|
parents, and other citizens with the mission to support the state's |
|
|
public education system; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through its 2009 leadership program, the |
|
|
organization is sending more than 100 top public and charter school |
|
|
campus leaders to The Principals' Center at the Harvard Graduate |
|
|
School of Education to participate in a summer institute; |
|
|
recognized for their exceptional training and the variety of |
|
|
hands-on opportunities they offer, Harvard summer institutes allow |
|
|
participants to learn from the foremost national and international |
|
|
experts in the fields of education and leadership, as well as |
|
|
renowned educators from throughout the country; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Franchesca Cain has demonstrated the passion and |
|
|
commitment that are the hallmarks of our best principals, and her |
|
|
selection for this prestigious program justly acknowledges her hard |
|
|
work in behalf of Meadowbrook Elementary; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Franchesca Cain on being chosen to |
|
|
participate in the 2009 Raise Your Hand Texas Leadership Program |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cain as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
