R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jessica Sorey of Spring Hill High School in Longview |
|
|
earned great distinction by qualifying for the 2009 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Academic State Meet in Austin on May 25 and |
|
|
26, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Dan and Julie Sorey, Ms. Sorey is |
|
|
currently completing her junior year at Spring Hill; representing |
|
|
her school at the 2009 UIL District Meet, she excelled in |
|
|
competition and qualified to advance to state in the Accounting |
|
|
category; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To perform at the highest level in statewide |
|
|
academic competition requires not only skill and intellect but also |
|
|
exceptional dedication, and Ms. Sorey may reflect with pride on |
|
|
this notable achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Jessica Sorey for qualifying for the |
|
|
2009 UIL Academic State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success and a bright future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sorey as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
