R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss
  with the death of Myles Julian Anderson of El Paso on November 9,
  2006, at the age of 20; and
         WHEREAS, Myles Anderson was born in El Paso on August 31,
  1986, to Chris and Kayla Anderson; he attended Cathedral High
  School, where he showed true promise as an actor, accumulating more
  credits as a performer than anyone else in the school's history; and
         WHEREAS, For a government class project, Mr. Anderson
  prepared a tribute in memory of a classmate who died while serving
  his country in Iraq; the resolution became H.R. 161, which was
  adopted during the 79th Texas Legislative Session; Mr. Anderson
  accompanied his mentor, Chief Justice Richard Barajas, to the State
  Capitol, and was present when the measure was read on the house
  floor; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson went on to attend St. Edwards
  University in Austin, where he discovered a new passion,
  photography; he returned to El Paso to pursue this interest, and his
  work was exhibited in several local galleries; and
         WHEREAS, Myles Anderson is remembered by all who knew him as a
  warm and outgoing young man who befriended young and old alike; he
  was known for offering to cut the grass of elderly members of his
  church and to take nothing more than a glass of tea and some good
  conversation in return; and
         WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, memories of
  this beloved young Texan will forever endure in the hearts of the
  many  people who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the life of Myles Julian Anderson and
  extend sincere condolences to his parents and to his other loved
  ones; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Myles
  Julian Anderson.
