R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carlos Eduardo Mejia has provided indispensable |
|
|
support to the Capitol office of Representative Norma Chavez; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Willing to take on any project that is asked of him, |
|
|
Mr. Mejia has managed his many daily responsibilities in an |
|
|
exceptional manner, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and |
|
|
the perseverance to overcome all challenges brought before him; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mejia previously worked as an intern in the |
|
|
Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security of the Houston |
|
|
Mayor's Office, where he updated the division's website, helped |
|
|
organize a community event, and assisted the director with a |
|
|
variety of tasks; in addition, he served as a supervisor at Sellers |
|
|
Brothers, Inc.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A classmate of Representative Chavez at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Mejia is majoring in business and |
|
|
is distinguished as a Rapoport Service Scholar, a member of the |
|
|
Hispanic Business Student Association, and an assistant instructor |
|
|
for the Texas Latin Dance Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carlos Mejia has performed his duties in the office |
|
|
of Representative Chavez with skill and dedication, and his fine |
|
|
work has been of great benefit to the constituents of House District |
|
|
76 and people throughout the state; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Carlos Eduardo Mejia for his outstanding |
|
|
service in the office of Representative Norma Chavez and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success in all of his |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Mejia as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
