| WHEREAS, Carlos Eduardo Mejia has provided indispensable | ||
| support to the Capitol office of Representative Norma Chavez; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Willing to take on any project that is asked of him, | ||
| Mr. Mejia has managed his many daily responsibilities in an | ||
| exceptional manner, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and | ||
| the perseverance to overcome all challenges brought before him; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Mejia previously worked as an intern in the | ||
| Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security of the Houston | ||
| Mayor's Office, where he updated the division's website, helped | ||
| organize a community event, and assisted the director with a | ||
| variety of tasks; in addition, he served as a supervisor at Sellers | ||
| Brothers, Inc.; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A classmate of Representative Chavez at The | ||
| University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Mejia is majoring in business and | ||
| is distinguished as a Rapoport Service Scholar, a member of the | ||
| Hispanic Business Student Association, and an assistant instructor | ||
| for the Texas Latin Dance Club; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Carlos Mejia has performed his duties in the office | ||
| of Representative Chavez with skill and dedication, and his fine | ||
| work has been of great benefit to the constituents of House District | ||
| 76 and people throughout the state; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor Carlos Eduardo Mejia for his outstanding | ||
| service in the office of Representative Norma Chavez and extend to | ||
| him sincere best wishes for continued success in all of his | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Mejia as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
