R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kaitlin Triplett of North Star Elementary School in |
|
|
El Paso has been named a 2009 Safety Patrol Student of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than a half-century, the El Paso Police |
|
|
Department has coordinated the Safety Patrol program, and each |
|
|
year, exceptional student safety officers are selected from area |
|
|
schools as part of the student-of-the-year initiative sponsored by |
|
|
the Downtown Lions Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Monica and Tony Triplett, Kaitlin |
|
|
Triplett is a sixth-grade student on the high honor roll at North |
|
|
Star Elementary, where she especially enjoys studying mathematics; |
|
|
she is a member of the Barracuda Aquatics Swim Team and the North |
|
|
Star dance squad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has learned the values |
|
|
of dedication, respect, and responsibility through her involvement |
|
|
in the Safety Patrol, and she may take great pride in the |
|
|
contribution she has made to her school; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kaitlin Triplett on being named a |
|
|
Safety Patrol Student of the Year at North Star Elementary School |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Triplett as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
