R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Raymundo Velarde was named Outstanding Lawyer at the |
|
|
Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the El Paso Bar |
|
|
Association on May 9, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An attorney in private practice, Mr. Velarde is a |
|
|
graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and of Boston College |
|
|
Law School; his practice includes criminal law, personal injury, |
|
|
and federal criminal law; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|
|
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|
|
for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|
|
profession, and contributions to their community, and Mr. Velarde |
|
|
is a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated efforts, Ray Velarde has |
|
|
garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he may |
|
|
take justifiable pride in his notable accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Raymundo Velarde on his receipt of |
|
|
the Outstanding Lawyer Award from the El Paso Bar Association and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Velarde as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
