R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Maria Del Carmen Guerrero was recognized with the |
|
|
Liberty Bell Award at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation |
|
|
hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Guerrero was honored for her contributions to |
|
|
the legal profession with the award, which is given to |
|
|
non-attorneys who have worked to benefit the El Paso legal |
|
|
community in significant ways; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|
|
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|
|
for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|
|
profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Guerrero |
|
|
is a most worthy recipient of this special accolade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Guerrero has |
|
|
garnered the respect and appreciation of her fellow Texans, and she |
|
|
may indeed take justifiable pride in her notable accomplishments; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Del Carmen Guerrero on her |
|
|
receipt of the Liberty Bell Award from the El Paso Bar Association |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Guerrero as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
