R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Miguel Torres was recognized with the |
|
|
Professionalism Award at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation |
|
|
hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Torres operates the Law Office of Miguel Torres, |
|
|
specializing in criminal law and employment and labor law, in El |
|
|
Paso; the award honors him for his conduct and ethics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|
|
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|
|
for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|
|
profession, and contributions to their community, and Mr. Torres is |
|
|
a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Embodying the highest standards of his profession, |
|
|
Mr. Torres has garnered the respect and admiration of his |
|
|
colleagues, and he may take justifiable pride in his notable |
|
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Miguel Torres on his receipt of the |
|
|
Professionalism Award from the El Paso Bar Association and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Torres as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
