R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Honorable Samuel Medrano, Jr., was named the |
|
|
Outstanding Jurist at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation |
|
|
hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Judge Medrano presides over the 409th District Court |
|
|
in his native El Paso County, and he hears both criminal and civil |
|
|
cases; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|
|
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|
|
for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|
|
profession, and contributions to their community, and Judge Medrano |
|
|
is a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated efforts, Judge Medrano has |
|
|
garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he may |
|
|
take justifiable pride in his notable accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Samuel Medrano, Jr., on being |
|
|
named the 2009 Outstanding Jurist by the El Paso Bar Association and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Medrano as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
