R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Skye Duncan of Spring Hill High School in Longview |
|
|
earned great distinction by qualifying for the 2009 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Academic State Meet in Austin on May 25 and |
|
|
26, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of David and Susan Duncan, Ms. Duncan |
|
|
is currently completing her sophomore year at Spring Hill; she |
|
|
excelled in competition earlier in the year and qualified to |
|
|
advance to state in the Literary Criticism category; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To perform at the highest level in statewide |
|
|
academic competition requires not only skill and intellect but also |
|
|
exceptional dedication, and Ms. Duncan may reflect with pride on |
|
|
this notable achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Skye Duncan for qualifying for the 2009 |
|
|
UIL Academic State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and a bright future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Duncan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
