R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Camille Alamia of Austin celebrated a |
|
|
significant milestone in her life on May 29, 2009, with her |
|
|
graduation from Westlake High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her school career, Jacky Alamia has |
|
|
dedicated herself to meeting the highest academic standards, and |
|
|
she plans to attend the University of Kansas in the fall of 2009; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman has demonstrated |
|
|
exceptional athletic ability, earning four letters in varsity |
|
|
soccer and consistently attaining all-district team honors |
|
|
throughout her years as a Westlake Chap; as a senior, she received |
|
|
Westlake's 12th Man Award and was named the school's Athlete of the |
|
|
Week in March for excellence in her chosen sport; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Dr. Rodolfo Alamia and Paula Alamia |
|
|
and sister to Stefan, Ms. Alamia has earned the respect and |
|
|
admiration of all who know her, and she may reflect proudly on her |
|
|
many accomplishments as she looks with anticipation and optimism to |
|
|
the next chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacquelyn Camille Alamia on the |
|
|
occasion of her graduation from Westlake High School and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for success in her future endeavors; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Alamia as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
