R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dennis Stewart concluded his term on the Richardson |
|
|
City Council in May 2009, and it is indeed a pleasure to recognize |
|
|
him for his outstanding contributions to his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elected to represent Place 7 in 2007, Mr. Stewart |
|
|
joined the council after retiring as a lieutenant in the Richardson |
|
|
Police Department, where he had served for 25 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He is a member of the Richardson Central Rotary |
|
|
Club, the Richardson Masonic Lodge, and the Breckinridge Park |
|
|
Estates Homeowners Association and is past president of the |
|
|
Richardson Citizen Fire Academy Alumni Association; he regularly |
|
|
shows his support for the U.S. military by greeting troops at |
|
|
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dennis Stewart is a notable public servant, and his |
|
|
achievements have helped to make Richardson an even better place in |
|
|
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Dennis Stewart on the occasion of his |
|
|
retirement as a member of the Richardson City Council and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Stewart as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
