R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego was born on October 7,
  2004, and is the only son of Representative Pete P. Gallego and his
  wife, María Elena Ramón, General Counsel for the office of Court
  Administration; and
         WHEREAS, since his birth, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego has
  regularly attended sessions of the Texas Legislature as a guest of
  his father and occasionally participated inadvertently in the
  debates on the House floor; and
         WHEREAS, through his father, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego has
  had access to the House floor longer than 57 current members of the
  Texas House of Representatives; and
         WHEREAS, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego has developed many
  close relationships with members of the Texas Legislature including
  Representative Rafaél Anchía, Representative Jessica Farrar,
  Representative Kelly Hancock, Representative Patricia Harless,
  Representative Ana Hernandez, Representative Scott Hochberg,
  Representative Terri Hodge, Representative Edmund Kuempel,
  Representative Eddie Lucio, Representative Armando Martinez,
  Representative Tommy Merritt, Representative Paula Pierson, and
  Representative Tara Rios Ybarra; and
         WHEREAS, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego's outgoing
  personality, inquisitive nature, unpredictable antics and easy
  smile serve to constantly remind members of the Texas House of
  Representatives of the important things in life; and
         WHEREAS, Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego's presence on the House
  floor has provided entertainment and promoted a more congenial and
  friendly environment among the members; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, that Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego be recognized as
  an "unofficial" mascot of the Texas House of Representatives for
  his work on the House floor during the 81st session; and be it
  further
         RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego and extend
  its best wishes to him as he nears his fifth birthday; and be it
  further
         RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature extend its best wishes to Nicolás Miguel Ramón Gallego
  in all of his future endeavors, including education, and public
  service in whatever form, and as a potential future candidate for
  office; and be it further
         RESOLVED, that an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Nicolás as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
