R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Those young people who give of their time and |
|
talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature are |
|
truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and Chase Carter |
|
is one such individual; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Carter has served as an administrative aide in |
|
the office of State Representative Will Hartnett since September |
|
2008, and his dedication and hard work have been greatly |
|
appreciated by his colleagues; he has managed his many daily |
|
responsibilities in an exceptional manner, demonstrating a keen |
|
attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and a patience that |
|
seemingly has no bounds; and |
|
WHEREAS, A recent graduate of St. Edward's University, where |
|
he earned a bachelor's degree in political science, Mr. Carter was |
|
active in student government and served as a student representative |
|
on the academic advisory council; moreover, he has participated in |
|
the greater community as a GOP delegate to the senatorial district |
|
convention for Precinct 433; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Carter has gained an understanding of the inner |
|
workings of the Texas Legislature and the legislative process that |
|
will surely serve him well as he prepares to enter law school; |
|
although his coworkers are sorry to see his tenure end, they share |
|
his excitement as he prepares to embark on a future that is bright |
|
with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Chase Carter for his outstanding service |
|
as an administrative aide and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Carter as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
