A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to training and other human resources functions of health
  and human services agencies.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 531, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Sections 531.0091, 531.0092, and 531.0093 to read
  as follows:
         Sec. 531.0091.  TRAINING FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
  AGENCY EMPLOYEES. (a)  Not later than the 30th day after the date
  an employee of a health and human services agency begins employment
  with the agency, the employee shall complete human
  resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and
  procedures and the employee's job responsibilities.
         (b)  Not later than the 30th day after the date an employee of
  a health and human services agency assumes new job
  responsibilities, the employee shall complete any human
  resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and
  procedures and the employee's job responsibilities.
         Sec. 531.0092.  EXIT INTERVIEWS FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN
  SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEES. Each health and human services agency
  shall inform an employee who voluntarily terminates employment with
  the agency that the agency is required to conduct an exit interview
  under Section 651.007.
         Sec. 531.0093.  NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF HEALTH AND HUMAN
  SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEE. Not later than the 30th day after the
  date an employee of a health and human services agency terminates
  employment with the agency, the employee's supervisor shall report
  the employee's termination to the payroll director of the agency or
  that person's designee.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
