A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to training and other human resources functions of health |
|
and human services agencies. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 531, Government Code, is |
|
amended by adding Sections 531.0091, 531.0092, and 531.0093 to read |
|
as follows: |
|
Sec. 531.0091. TRAINING FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES |
|
AGENCY EMPLOYEES. (a) Not later than the 30th day after the date |
|
an employee of a health and human services agency begins employment |
|
with the agency, the employee shall complete human |
|
resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and |
|
procedures and the employee's job responsibilities. |
|
(b) Not later than the 30th day after the date an employee of |
|
a health and human services agency assumes new job |
|
responsibilities, the employee shall complete any human |
|
resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and |
|
procedures and the employee's job responsibilities. |
|
Sec. 531.0092. EXIT INTERVIEWS FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN |
|
SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEES. Each health and human services agency |
|
shall inform an employee who voluntarily terminates employment with |
|
the agency that the agency is required to conduct an exit interview |
|
under Section 651.007. |
|
Sec. 531.0093. NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF HEALTH AND HUMAN |
|
SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEE. Not later than the 30th day after the |
|
date an employee of a health and human services agency terminates |
|
employment with the agency, the employee's supervisor shall report |
|
the employee's termination to the payroll director of the agency or |
|
that person's designee. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
