A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to making an appropriation to the Department of State |
|
|
Health Services to be used in connection with the reporting of |
|
|
health care-associated infections at certain health care |
|
|
facilities and the creation of an advisory panel. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The amount of $1,500,000 is appropriated out of |
|
|
the general revenue fund to the Department of State Health Services |
|
|
for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2010, and the unexpended |
|
|
balance of that amount plus an additional $2,800,000 out of the |
|
|
general revenue fund is appropriated to the department for the |
|
|
state fiscal year ending August 31, 2011, to implement Chapter 98, |
|
|
Health and Safety Code, as added by Section 1, Chapter 359 (S.B. No. |
|
|
288), Acts of the 80th Legislature, Regular Session, 2007. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
