A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the reporting of proposed publicity expenditures by |
|
|
state agencies to certain legislative committees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2113.011, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) Not later than June 1 of each year, a state agency shall |
|
|
provide the agency's proposed publicity expenditures, including |
|
|
expenditures described by Subsection (c), (d), or (e), for the |
|
|
following state fiscal year to each standing legislative committee |
|
|
with primary jurisdiction over the agency. On the vote of a majority |
|
|
of a standing committee's members, a standing committee may send to |
|
|
the agency a statement supporting or opposing a proposed |
|
|
expenditure. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
