A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the purchase and sale of certain alcoholic beverages by |
|
|
the holder of a winery permit. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 16, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 16.10 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 16.10. PURCHASE AND SALE OF MALT BEVERAGES. (a) The |
|
|
holder of a winery permit may sell beer and malt liquor on the |
|
|
winery permit holder's permitted premises for on-premises |
|
|
consumption only during a reception or similar event where full |
|
|
meals are served. |
|
|
(b) The holder of a winery permit may purchase beer or malt |
|
|
liquor from any license or permit holder authorized to sell the beer |
|
|
or malt liquor for resale. |
|
|
(c) The holder of a winery permit who also holds a private |
|
|
carrier permit may transport the beer or malt liquor from the place |
|
|
of purchase to the winery permit holder's premises. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
