A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the approval of a biologist for a permit to trap, |
|
|
transport, and process deer. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 43, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 43.06125 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 43.06125. BIOLOGIST'S APPROVAL FOR TRAP, TRANSPORT, |
|
|
AND PROCESS PERMIT. The commission shall adopt rules providing |
|
|
that a single approval by a biologist regarding the healthy medical |
|
|
condition of a group of deer covered by a trap, transport, and |
|
|
process permit remains in effect for that group of deer until: |
|
|
(1) the trap, transport, and process permit expires; |
|
|
or |
|
|
(2) all deer covered by the permit have been |
|
|
processed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt |
|
|
rules under Section 43.06125, Parks and Wildlife Code, as added by |
|
|
this Act, not later than January 1, 2010. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
