A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the sale of certain alcoholic beverages to certain |
|
|
private club registration permit holders. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 19, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 19.011 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 19.011. SALE TO CERTAIN PERMIT HOLDERS. The holder of |
|
|
a wholesaler's permit may sell ale, malt liquor, or wine to a |
|
|
private club registration permit holder whose premises are located |
|
|
in an area where the sale of the ale, malt liquor, or wine has been |
|
|
authorized. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Chapter 20, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 20.011 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 20.011. SALE TO CERTAIN PERMIT HOLDERS. The holder of |
|
|
a general class B wholesaler's permit may sell ale, malt liquor, or |
|
|
wine to a private club registration permit holder whose premises |
|
|
are located in an area where the sale of the ale, malt liquor, or |
|
|
wine has been authorized. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
