A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the Harris County Road Law |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 33, Chapter 17, Special Laws, Acts of the |
|
|
33rd Legislature, Regular Session, 1913, is amended to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
Sec. 33. The provisions of this Act are, and shall be held |
|
|
and construed to be cumulative of all General Laws of this State, on |
|
|
the subjects treated of in this Act, when not in conflict. This Act |
|
|
and the rules promulgated pursuant to this Act control over any |
|
|
provision of general law that is in conflict or inconsistent with |
|
|
this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
