A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the establishment of a voluntary hands-on recycling |
|
|
program for students in public schools. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 361.0202, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The commission in cooperation with the commissioner of |
|
|
education shall develop a voluntary hands-on recycling program for |
|
|
use in public schools that: |
|
|
(1) encourages students to recycle; and |
|
|
(2) provides students with the means and opportunity |
|
|
to recycle on school premises. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
