WHEREAS, In an exceptional performance in the first series of

WHEREAS, The final two matchups of the series were played as a
doubleheader on Saturday; in the first game, Mr. Aguirre led the New

at-bats; this breakout performance was a major factor in the
Aggies' commanding 16-2 win and greatly pleased head coach Rocky
  Ward; and
WHEREAS, New Mexico State completed the series sweep by
taking Saturday's second game by a score of 12-6; once again, Mr.
Aguirre had a productive game at the plate, accumulating three hits
and two RBIs and also scoring two runs; and
WHEREAS, This talented Texan is the son of Lionel B. Aguirre
and the late Lena Guerrero; he attended James Bowie High School in
Austin, where he garnered all-district, all-Central Texas, and

team; in 2006, he enrolled at New Mexico State and has been a
valuable member of the Aggies squad since his freshman season; and
WHEREAS, An exceptional player who has proven his abilities
