CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 726 has been adopted by the senate |
|
|
and the house of representatives and is being prepared for |
|
|
enrollment; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The bill contains technical errors that should be |
|
|
corrected; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED by the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas, That |
|
|
the enrolling clerk of the senate be instructed to correct Senate |
|
|
Bill No. 726 by striking SECTION 3 (conference committee report |
|
|
page 19, lines 2 through 6) and substituting the following: |
|
|
SECTION 3. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b) of |
|
|
this section, this Act takes effect immediately if it receives a |
|
|
vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
|
|
(b) Chapter 8855, Special District Local Laws Code, as added |
|
|
by Section 1 of this Act, takes effect September 1, 2009. |
