SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 25
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Specialist Razan Saied on the occasion of the statewide
  commemoration of Wounded Warrior Day at the State Capitol on
  January 27, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, Wounded Warrior Day is an opportunity for Texans
  everywhere to be reminded of the valor and dedication to freedom
  that the members of the United States armed forces have shown on
  behalf of our country; and
         WHEREAS, Specialist Razan Saied was injured on January 22,
  2008, while serving our nation in Iraq; a member of the 431st
  Civil Affairs Battalion, she exhibited courage and dedication
  while defending our nation's democratic ideals; and
         WHEREAS, Specialist Saied was wounded while bravely
  carrying out her duties in service to our country, and she is
  truly deserving of recognition for her patriotism and her
  sacrifice; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Specialist Razan Saied on her
  bravery, her dedication to duty, and her sacrifice in the service
  of our nation and extend to her sincere gratitude for her
  dedication to our country and best wishes for all her future
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
