SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Trans Ionics Corporation, which has been named one of
  the top 10 most promising energy and clean technology companies
  at the 6th Annual Rice Alliance for Technology and
  Entrepreneurship Energy and Clean Technology Venture Forum; and
         WHEREAS, Trans Ionics Corporation has become a leader in
  the development of advanced separation technologies for the
  petroleum, petrochemical, environmental, medical, and power
  generation sectors of the economy; and
         WHEREAS, Located in The Woodlands, this innovative company
  creates energy-saving processes such as the separation of pure
  oxygen from air using ion transport membranes and the
  desulfurization of a wide range of petroleum streams; and
         WHEREAS, Using a combination of public and private
  funding, Trans Ionics Corporation will soon bring to market some
  of its original products, stimulating the Texas economy and
  creating an atmosphere where innovation can thrive; this
  exemplary company is truly deserving of recognition for its
  dedication and many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Trans Ionics Corporation on its
  spirit of innovation and free enterprise and extend
  congratulations on being named one of the 10 most promising
  energy and clean technology companies at the 6th Annual Rice
  Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship Energy and Clean
  Technology Venture Forum; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this outstanding company as an expression of esteem from the
  Texas Senate.
