SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 91
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Reverend Melvin R. Clearman for his 51 years of loyal
  service as pastor of Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God;
  and
         WHEREAS, Melvin Clearman was born October 4, 1925, in
  Wylie, Texas; he moved to Austin with his family in 1936, and he
  served his country during World War II as a radar operator aboard
  C-47 aircraft; he then returned to Austin and married Rosalee
  Blevins; and
         WHEREAS, In 1947, he joined the Austin Police Department,
  where he served until 1952; he then worked for Capital National
  Bank, and in 1958, he became pastor of Trinity Chapel; and
         WHEREAS, As pastor of Trinity Chapel, Reverend Clearman
  has ministered faithfully to the spiritual needs of members of
  the congregation; in addition, he served the Southwest Texas
  District of the Pentecostal Church of God as Austin Sectional
  Presbyter for more than 40 years; and
         WHEREAS, Reverend Clearman is a man of spiritual depth and
  devotion, and under his leadership, Trinity Chapel has been a
  source of support and inspiration to the Austin community; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby join the members of Trinity Chapel
  Pentecostal Church of God in commending Reverend Melvin R.
  Clearman on his outstanding service as pastor and extend best
  wishes to all on the occasion of his 51st anniversary as pastor of
  the church; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
