SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 98

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Natalie Luisa Ortega on the occasion of her quinceañera; and

WHEREAS, A ninth-grader at Clear Brook High School, Natalie is a very conscientious and determined student; she was selected to be a member of the National Honor Society for Secondary Schools because of her scholarship, leadership, and character, and the Duke University Talent Identification Program recognized her as one of the most capable seventh-graders in the program's 16-state region; and

WHEREAS, Natalie has established herself as a well-rounded young woman, participating in a wide variety of activities; she has sung in the school choir and played volleyball, and she currently studies dance, debate, Spanish, and computer graphics in addition to her basic schoolwork; she maintains a position on the honor roll; and

WHEREAS, An exemplary young woman and a high achiever, Natalie has planned well for her future; she plans to attend college and study law or journalism; her notable achievements in school are evidence of her dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Natalie Luisa Ortega on the occasion of her quinceañera and extend to her best wishes in all her future endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
