Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Ruth Ann |
|
Wentworth Smith, who died November 4, 2008, at the age of 69; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born September 18, 1939, Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith |
|
was an exemplary citizen who was respected in the community for |
|
her many accomplishments; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith will be remembered for her |
|
graciousness, her dignity, and her dauntless spirit; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, |
|
Mrs. Smith gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and |
|
valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|
WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife and mother, and she leaves |
|
behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and |
|
many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith: her husband, Bennett Smith; |
|
her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Berry Nall; and her son, |
|
Phillip W. Davis; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith. |
