SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 104

Estella Jackson Schraub |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Seguin in mourning the loss of Estella Jackson |
|
Schraub, who died November 28, 2008, at the age of 75; and |
|
WHEREAS, Estella Schraub was born February 18, 1933, in |
|
Wilson County, Texas; she was a member of the 1949 graduating |
|
class of Stockdale High School; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her |
|
daily life, Mrs. Schraub was a charter member of Faith Lutheran |
|
Church; she was an avid bridge player and participated in |
|
numerous community activities, most recently by volunteering at |
|
the Christian Cupboard; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, |
|
Mrs. Schraub gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, |
|
and graciousness will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|
WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife and mother, and she leaves |
|
behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and |
|
many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Estella Jackson Schraub: her loving husband of 55 |
|
years, Judge B. B. Schraub; her son, Fred Schraub; her sister, |
|
Faye Talley; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Stokley and |
|
Lillian Jackson, Richard and Jackie Jackson, and Earl Jackson; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Estella Jackson Schraub. |
