SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 123
         WHEREAS, Blage Y. C. Ledbetter, of Troop 604, Sam Houston
  Area Council in Houston, is being honored by the Boy Scout
  program for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and
 
         WHEREAS, Blage planned, developed, and conducted a service
  project that benefited his community; he organized volunteers
  for cleaning up and gardening in the historic Olivewood Cemetery;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, Blage has brought great honor to himself in
  earning the coveted Eagle Badge, and his family, his troop, his
  community, and his state are justly proud of his great
  accomplishment; and
 
         WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
  promise, this personable young man advanced through the ranks of
  Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before
  reaching Eagle Scout; and
 
         WHEREAS, Blage has become one of the select few who have
  earned this prestigious honor, and he is a shining example to the
  young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby congratulate Blage Y. C. Ledbetter on
  becoming an Eagle Scout and commend him on this great
  achievement; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Eagle Scout Ledbetter as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
