SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 158
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Rodney Dale Waters
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Spring in mourning the loss of Rodney Dale Waters,
  who died January 31, 2009, at the age of 43; and
         WHEREAS, Born July 6, 1965, in Pasadena, Texas, Rodney
  became a career firefighter who served his community with courage
  and dedication; and
         WHEREAS, Early in his career, he served as a volunteer with
  the Spring Fire Department; he was employed as a firefighter with
  the Conroe Fire Department prior to joining the Houston Fire
  Department in 1989; and
         WHEREAS, Rodney was an exemplary gentleman who gave
  unselfishly of his time and energy to others; he was a member of
  the HLSR Committee and was a Special Olympics fundraiser, a
  Little League coach, and a member of Spring Masonic Lodge AF & AM;
  and
         WHEREAS, Rodney Waters was highly respected and admired in
  his community, and he leaves behind memories that will be
  treasured forever by his family and his many friends; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Rodney Dale Waters: his wife, Dawn; his daughter,
  Hannah Marie Waters; his sons, Jacob Dwayne Waters and Garrett
  Ryan Lorenz; and his sisters, Rhonda Waters and Pamela Lawson;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Rodney Dale Waters.
