SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 162
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
  recognizing the Arlington High School Colt Chorale, which has
  been selected to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association
  Clinic and Convention in San Antonio; and
 
         WHEREAS, One of 13 choirs chosen from a field of 95 to
  perform this month at the convention, the Arlington High School
  Colt Chorale is the only Tarrant County choir to participate in
  the event; and
 
         WHEREAS, The 88-member chorale is a select portion of the
  school's 384 choral students; its members are hardworking and
  dedicated to the highest of standards, and they spend up to 10
  hours in practice outside of school each week; and
 
         WHEREAS, The group is fortunate to work under the
  exceptional leadership of choir director Dinah Menger; the
  members of the Colt Chorale will be among about 25,000 people,
  including educators, performers, parents, and musical
  professionals, to take part in the convention; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Arlington High
  School Colt Chorale on their dedication and talent and
  congratulate them on earning a place at the Texas Music Educators
  Association Clinic and Convention; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the Colt Chorale as an expression of esteem from the Texas
  Senate.
