SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 167
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
  recognizing the City of Eagle Pass on its selection for a 2008
  PISCES Award; and
 
         WHEREAS, The PISCES Award recognizes projects that are
  innovative and advance the Environmental Protection Agency's
  water quality protection goals through State Revolving Fund
  Programs; and
 
         WHEREAS, As a participant in a regional water and
  wastewater plan, the City of Eagle Pass was nominated for the
  award for its innovative financing, creative use of
  partnerships, and efficient use of water resources; and
 
         WHEREAS, The city used both state and federal resources to
  create regional utility system improvements that meet water
  quality and health standards; for their work on behalf of the
  city, and in celebration of the city's PISCES Award, Eagle Pass
  officials are being honored on February 13 by the Texas Water
  Development Board in a ceremony at the city's new water treatment
  facility; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the City of Eagle Pass and
  extend congratulations to all who worked on its water and
  wastewater plan on earning the 2008 PISCES Award; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of the City of Eagle Pass.
