Ofelia L. Grenier |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of El Paso in mourning the loss of Ofelia L. Grenier, who |
|
died January 16, 2009, at the age of 73; and |
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen of El Paso since 1970, Mrs. |
|
Grenier was respected in the community for her many |
|
accomplishments; she enriched all who knew her with her warmth |
|
and grace; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ofelia Grenier was a woman of courage, strength, |
|
and compassion; she gave generously to others, and her wisdom and |
|
valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted mother and grandmother, she will long be |
|
remembered with affection and admiration by all who were |
|
privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Ofelia L. Grenier: her mother, Angelina Licon; her |
|
sons and daughters-in-law, Maurice and Pilar Grenier and Richard |
|
and Marisa Grenier; her daughter, Lise M. Rocha; her sisters, |
|
Alicia, Marta, Gloria, Alma, and Hortensia; her brothers, |
|
Rafael, Pedro, and Luis; and her grandchildren, Nicole, José |
|
Mauricio, André, Crysta, Richard, Maurice, and Denise; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Ofelia L. Grenier. |
