SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 311
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize A. Chyrisse Wilson, who is retiring on March 20, 2009,
  after 25 years of outstanding service to the City of Houston; and
 
         WHEREAS, Chyrisse began her career with the City of Houston
  in 1984 as office manager for city council member Rodney Ellis;
  she has been indispensable in numerous administrative and
  managerial positions through the years, including as senior
  executive assistant to former Mayor Lee P. Brown; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Chyrisse has been noted
  for her superior organizational skills and managerial expertise;
  she has been responsible for oversight on such important matters
  as affirmative action, housing, and women's issues; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Chyrisse has handled
  her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and
  dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, Chyrisse is
  respected and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at
  Houston's City Hall will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend A. Chyrisse Wilson on her
  exceptional service to the City of Houston and extend to her best
  wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
