SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 362
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Bob Crafton
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Bob Crafton, who died February 9, 2009,
  at the age of 60; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Crafton was born September 6, 1948, in
  Hickory, North Carolina; he served the nation in the United
  States Army as a member of the 8th Infantry, Airborne, stationed
  in Germany; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Crafton was an exemplary citizen who was
  admired in the community for his many accomplishments; he enjoyed
  a 37-year career as a systems analyst with American Airlines and
  had retired; and
         WHEREAS, An avid sportsman, Mr. Crafton participated in a
  variety of activities, including softball, golf, hunting, and
  fishing; he was also a member of his neighborhood's crime watch
  organization and was known for helping out his neighbors; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
  enthusiasm for helping those in need will not be forgotten by
  those who knew him; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Crafton was a devoted husband, father, and
  grandfather, and he will long be remembered for his generous
  spirit and his many achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Bob Crafton: his wife, Terry Crafton; his daughters,
  Lisa Langston, Becky Shaw, Marsha Williams, Kim Sims, and
  Stephanie Squires; his father, Howard Crafton; his brother, Jim
  Crafton; his sisters, Sandy Bryla and Libby Suggs; and his eight
  grandchildren, Jakob Langston, Avy Langston, Whitney Shaw,
  Courtney Shaw, Cole Williams, Kacy Williams, Brady Sims, Parker
  Sims, and Drake Squires; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Bob Crafton.
