SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 370
         WHEREAS, During her decades in the teaching profession, Jo
  LeRue Todd helped to build a brighter and more promising future
  for thousands of Texas schoolchildren; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Todd joined the Arlington Independent School
  District in 1985; her career included a tenure as assistant
  director of the orchestra at Lamar High School, and before her
  retirement in 2005, she served as director of the orchestra at
  Shackelford Junior High School; and
 
         WHEREAS, An educator in the truest sense of the word, this
  notable Texan devoted her time and energy to her music program,
  and she helped to open new vistas of opportunity to those under
  her instruction; and
 
         WHEREAS, Jo Todd was dedicated to her profession and her
  students, and her unwavering commitment to helping each pupil
  achieve his or her fullest potential earned her a special place
  in the hearts of many young Texans; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby honor Jo LeRue Todd for her contributions and
  achievements as an educator and commend her for her important
  work; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Todd as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
