SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 442
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Mike Rambo
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Colleyville and Grapevine in mourning the loss of
  Mike Rambo, who died March 22, 2008, at the age of 52; and
         WHEREAS, Mike Rambo was born July 28, 1955, in Bryan; he
  earned a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State
  University and a master's degree in computer engineering from The
  University of Texas at Arlington; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, Mr. Rambo was respected in
  the community for his many achievements and his spirit of public
  service; he coached soccer and basketball for many years, and he
  was an avid supporter of the L. D. Bell High School marching band;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rambo was a passionate advocate for the Boy
  Scouts of America, serving as a scoutmaster and holding numerous
  positions in the organization; his extensive knowledge of
  woodcraft and wildlife benefited innumerable Boy Scouts; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rambo enjoyed a productive professional
  career at McKesson Corporation; in 2006, the company bestowed on
  him its Neil Harlan Award for community service; and
         WHEREAS, A man of strength and compassion, he gave
  generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and unending
  curiosity about the world around him will continue to inspire
  those who knew him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family and
  friends of Mike Rambo; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Mike Rambo.
