SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 460
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
  recognizing June 11, 2009, as Texas Health Steps Provider
  Appreciation Day in Grand Prairie; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Texas Health Steps program is a federally
  mandated component of the Medicaid program that provides medical
  and dental preventive care and treatment to eligible children
  from birth through age 20; and
 
         WHEREAS, The program's clients are eligible for
  comprehensive and periodic evaluations of their medical and
  dental health, development, nutritional status, vision, and
  hearing; examinations include immunizations and necessary
  laboratory work; and
 
         WHEREAS, The providers of these examinations voluntarily
  contract with the state and make sacrifices to deliver these
  services; they do their best to ensure that the young people of
  Texas receive the benefits of Texas Health Steps services at an
  early age and on a regular basis; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend the providers of the Texas Health
  Steps program for their valuable work on behalf of our young
  citizens and extend best wishes to them on the occasion of Texas
  Health Steps Provider Appreciation Day in Grand Prairie; and, be
  it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  them as an expression of appreciation and esteem from the Texas
  Senate.
