SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 478

John Andrew Collins |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of The Woodlands in mourning the loss of John Andrew |
|
Collins, who died March 8, 2009, at the age of 25; and |
|
WHEREAS, John Andrew Collins was born in Houston on |
|
September 27, 1983; he attended Glen Loch Elementary School and |
|
Collins Intermediate School and graduated from The Woodlands |
|
High School in 2002; he was enrolled at Lone Star College; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a faithful and lifelong member of The |
|
Woodlands United Methodist Church, and he earned the rank of |
|
Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 772; and |
|
WHEREAS, Andrew was a bright and thoughtful young man, and |
|
he enriched the lives of all who knew him with his love, his |
|
kindness, and his compassion for others; and |
|
WHEREAS, A dearly loved son, grandson, and brother, Andrew |
|
brought great joy and happiness to his family, and he leaves |
|
behind memories that will be treasured forever in their hearts; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of John Andrew Collins: his parents, Cam and Kathy |
|
Collins; his brother, Austin Collins; and his grandparents, Paul |
|
and Matalee Smith, Carol Collins, and Violet Collins; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of John Andrew Collins. |
