SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 496
         WHEREAS, John Henry Robinson is retiring from Herb's Paint
  and Body collision center in Dallas in March 2009, bringing to a
  close a career in automotive repair that has spanned half a
  century; and
         WHEREAS, Henry Robinson started working for Herb's at the
  age of 21 on March 21, 1959; hired by owner Herb Walne on the
  recommendation of Mr. Robinson's uncle, Mr. Robinson began his
  career by keeping the shop clean and procuring parts for cars
  under repair; he went on to perform oil changes and to learn the
  mechanic's trade; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. Robinson became a skilled
  mechanic and a beloved and popular presence at the shop; he has
  become the shop's official greeter, garnering affection and
  goodwill for himself and the business with three generations of
  customers; moreover, he has been a loyal friend to his coworkers
  and father figure to their families; and
         WHEREAS, Supported by the love of his wife, Dulsie, Henry
  Robinson has dedicated himself to providing exemplary service to
  the customers of Herb's Paint and Body for 50 years, and as he
  embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life, he may indeed
  take great pride in the deep affection he has earned from his
  coworkers, customers, and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby congratulate John Henry Robinson on his
  retirement from Herb's Paint and Body and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Robinson as an expression of high regard from
  the Texas Senate.
