SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 616
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Honorable Daniel T. Robles on his 10 years of
  outstanding service as a Cameron County judge; and
         WHEREAS, As judge of County Court at Law No. 3, Judge
  Robles upheld the highest standards of the judicial profession
  and consistently demonstrated fair-mindedness and sound
  judgement in the courtroom; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law
  at Texas Southern University, Judge Robles formerly served in the
  Cameron County District Attorney's Office and was a practicing
  attorney in Harlingen until becoming Cameron County judge in
  1999; he has now retired to return to the full-time practice of
  law; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Robles is also a graduate of the Texas
  College for Judicial Studies, where he received specialized
  training in civil litigation; he served as the local presiding
  administrative judge of the Cameron County Courts at Law; his
  work beyond the courtroom included serving on several committees
  as a member of the Texas Center for the Judiciary and serving as a
  member of the Judicial Section Board of Directors of the State
  Bar of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman who has distinguished
  himself in his career, Judge Robles is highly respected by his
  colleagues and by the courthouse staff, and his presence as judge
  of County Court at Law No. 3 will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Judge Daniel T. Robles on his
  outstanding service to Cameron County as judge of County Court at
  Law No. 3 and extend best wishes to him for much success in his
  future legal profession; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of Judge Daniel T. Robles.
