Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez, who died |
|
April 11, 2009, at the age of 84; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Beatrice Gutierrez was born on July 29, 1914, in |
|
La Pryor, Texas; she was a former resident of Galveston, where |
|
she owned the Original Mexican Café of Galveston on 14th and |
|
Market Streets; she moved to Houston after she retired; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Gutierrez was a highly respected woman who |
|
enriched the lives of all who knew her with her love and |
|
compassion and her warmth and kindness; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she |
|
leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her |
|
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez: her sons, Gil Urias and |
|
Fernando Urias; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lucia Coronado |
|
and her husband, Miguel Coronado, Sr., and Lupe Trevino and her |
|
husband, Didio R. Trevino, Jr.; her seven grandchildren; her 11 |
|
great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-grandchildren; |
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez. |
