SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 714
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez, who died
  April 11, 2009, at the age of 84; and
 
         WHEREAS, Beatrice Gutierrez was born on July 29, 1914, in
  La Pryor, Texas; she was a former resident of Galveston, where
  she owned the Original Mexican Café of Galveston on 14th and
  Market Streets; she moved to Houston after she retired; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Gutierrez was a highly respected woman who
  enriched the lives of all who knew her with her love and
  compassion and her warmth and kindness; and
 
         WHEREAS, She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she
  leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her
  family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez: her sons, Gil Urias and
  Fernando Urias; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lucia Coronado
  and her husband, Miguel Coronado, Sr., and Lupe Trevino and her
  husband, Didio R. Trevino, Jr.; her seven grandchildren; her 11
  great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-grandchildren;
  and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Beatrice Chapa Gutierrez.
