SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 722

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Johnny Sanchez III for his active participation and leadership in his community; and

WHEREAS, An Eagle Scout who earned the Order of the Arrow, Johnny has been actively involved in Scouting for 18 years; he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 250 and served in the Boy Scout Youth Program and on the staff of several Boy Scout camps; and

WHEREAS, The son of Johnny Sanchez, Jr., and Tina Sanchez, Johnny is being honored by the Harlandale United Methodist Church in South San Antonio on April 28; in May, he leaves his community to join the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, While Johnny will be missed by many, his family, friends, and community are proud that this exemplary young man who is known for his selfless spirit and leadership will be serving our country in the United States Navy; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby commend Johnny Sanchez III on his many contributions to the Boy Scout program and to the San Antonio community and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Johnny Sanchez III as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
