SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 755
|
|
WHEREAS, The Reverend Casey Miner of Richardson was |
|
selected to receive the Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer |
|
Service Award, and this prestigious honor was conferred on him by |
|
the Texas Board of Criminal Justice on April 3, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The governor's awards were created in 1995 to |
|
recognize individuals and organizations that are working to |
|
rehabilitate offenders and bring comfort to their victims, and |
|
whose outstanding efforts exemplify the highest ideals of |
|
volunteer service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Reverend Miner has |
|
demonstrated a profound commitment to helping offenders redirect |
|
their lives and become productive members of society, and many |
|
individuals seeking a new beginning are finding critical |
|
inspiration and support as a result of his tireless efforts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby congratulate the Reverend Casey Miner on his |
|
receipt of a Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award |
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, |
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
|
prepared for Reverend Miner as an expression of high regard from |
|
the Texas Senate. |
